Hello, I am writing to inform you that the photos of “Reg” that you quote as “Shiny 7th” (London Regiment) at Llandudno are in fact all soldiers of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers. It looks as if Reg started with a RWF reserve battalion undergoing training. Then went to the 7th London’s (whose grenade badge is a different shape) before finally ending up with the Royal Irish Fusiliers (probably after recovery from wounding or sickness. I hope that is of interest. Frogsmile (Great War Forum user name)

My Grandfather was in the Royal Warwickshire and I would be fascinated to know more about the regiment during the first world war.
